Buying vintage clothing means purchasing something that has some history. It is normal for vintage items to have been worn by the previous owner, so unless an item is listed as New Old Stock or Deadstock, please keep in mind it has had a previous life. Listed below is the Glossary of Terms used by vintagebliss.ca to describe the condition of the merchandise. It is always recommended that the buyer make all necessary inquiries prior to the final purchase. All clothing and accessories are sold to be worn. We typically will not offer an item that is deemed unwearable or in poor condition. Any exceptions to this policy will be clearly noted in the description of the article.
Mint/New Old Stock/Deadstock: flawless condition, possibly unworn with or without tags, no visible imperfections, discolorations and an overall freshness that is found only in barely worn articles.
Excellent: may show some very minor wear attributed to light usage such as a re-sewn hem, alterations to the shape, minor discoloration in the lining, light scratching on the surface of leather goods, on the corners or interior of handbags. Overall the quality of these items is as close to original condition as possible, given that there has been some light use.
Very Good: indicates good quality with some slight visible changes due to normal wear. Slight softness due to washing, linings may be faded. Belts, handbags and other accessories in leather or metal may show some minor scratching or interior discoloration.
Good: minor flaws as noted in description, most likely repairable and/or wearable with care.
