Vintage clothing and accessories are not sized like contemporary fashion. To ensure a proper fit, please compare your measurements to those of a good fitting garment of your own, or to your own measurements. Remember to allow for comfort. Women wore foundation garments until the 1960s, so keep that in mind.
Measuring your size: Using a tape measure, here are the guidelines to accurate sizing.
Bust: Measure under your arms at the fuller part of your bust. Keep tape level across your shoulder blades.
Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, above your navel and below your ribcage, keeping the tape comfortably loose.
Hips: Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest point of your hips.
